Setup - Guild 12-string Semi Jumbo acoustic electric guitar

Customer brought in this project wanting to sweeten the action as it had become unplayable at the higher frets. There was some room to take off on the nut and saddle so it was decided we do that and set it up to play easier.

• Adjust truss rod to lower action at 12th fret
• File down saddle and nut to improve intonation and string height
• Test and check electronics
• Clean and oil fretboard
• Restring with D'addario custom light 10 gauge strings

 

Repair - Ovation electric acoustic guitar - Headstock chip

 A customer brought in this 90s Ovation acoustic electric to have setup and some touch up work done. The headstock had been dropped and a chip had come off, so I sanded a smooth radius back into it and stained it up. Also touched up some cracking on the finish on the top.

• Fix headstock chip
• Touch up cracks on top
• Clean and oil fretboard
• Adjust saddle and nut height for improved action
• Restring with Martin custom light 10 gauge strings

• Clean and oil fretboard
• Clean and restore oxidized hardware
• Level, crown and polish frets
• Set Floyd Rose bridge for low action
• Adjust truss rod and intonation
• Restring with Ernie Ball 9 gauge

• Level, crown and polish frets
• Clean hardware and fretboard
• Adjust truss rod, saddle and intonation
• Restring with Ernie Ball 10 gauge
