Repair - Kent KF-720 dreadnought acoustic guitar made in Korea 1970s Part 1
This job was a repair for someone who had tried to repair it themselves and had a lot of issues. So I was tasked to undo what had already been done and start over:
- Tap truss rod back into proper position
- Create custom string guide for zero fret
- Removed bridge, cleaned off super glue, filed lower to improve action and screw holes filled with its own matching sawdust
- Scraped and sanded bridge pad, filled and re-drilled 6 string holes for bridge
- Re-glued bridge, correcting string spacing and alignment
- Polished frets, rounded fretboard edges, cleaned & oiled rosewood
- De-glossed back of neck with Scotch Brite pad
- Minor cosmetic touch-ups with wood stain match pen
- New Elixir strings 13 gauge with setup
