Repair - Bravo acoustic guitar 70s lawsuit made in Japan - Bridge reset

This made in Japan acoustic guitar was brought in to have the bridge fixed, switched from left handed to right and new strings.

  • Removed and re-glued bridge
  • Filed and reshaped nut
  • Sanded down saddle to improve action
  • Cleaned and oiled fretboard
  • Polished and leveled frets
  • Restrung with Ernie Ball earthwood 11 gauge strings

Upgrade - Epiphone Les Paul Custom - Seymour Duncan Slash Alnico II humbucker pickups

  • Level and polish frets
  • Clean and oil fretboard
  • Remove factory Epiphone pickups and replace with Slash Alnico Seymour Duncan
  • Smooth out finish on neck from previous headstock repair
  • Restring with Ernie Ball 10 gauge

Setup - Squier Bronco short scale electric bass

 

  • Fix output jack so its more reliable
  • Setup string radius and adjust saddle height
  • Tighten truss rod to reduce excessive relief in neck
  • Spot dress frets

Setup - Peavey T-60 electric guitar made in USA 1980s - Strap button fix

 This guitar was dropped off for new strings and a strap button fix

  • Clean scratchy pickup selector
  • Fix loose/stuck strap button
  • Level, crown, polish frets
  • Restring with Ernie Ball Slinky 10 gauge

Repair - Taylor 214CE acoustic electric guitar Part 2

Finishing up just checking to make sure all the glue up and cleats are seated properly and placed properly

 







Now time to restring with Ernie Ball Earthwood and let it sit at tension for a few days before doing the final minor setup work

Repair - Taylor 214CE acoustic electric guitar Part 1

This guitar was brought to me crushed, the top completely pushed into the box. The damage was total and the only fortunate thing was that the neck avoided stress. I popped out the top some before I took photos, but there are 4 prominent cracks running the entire length of the top and the bracing had of course come loose. The finished photos are in part 2...
