Repair - Epiphone Les Paul Studio electric guitar - Headstock break

Here's an intersting headstock break project, a newer Epiphone Les Paul studio. Was particularly challenging as the neck had been broken in 2 or more areas and from different directions. Lots of glue and clamps and it was ready to rock again!

  • prep break for glue removing any loose splinters of wood to ensure good contact with adhesive
  • wood glue and clamp the headstock
  • color match touch ups on neck and sand and buff to finish
  • clean and polish frets
  • replace three way pickup switch whcih was also damged on impact
  • restring with Ernie Ball 10 gauge strings

Repair - Martin OMC 160GTE acoustic electric guitar - Top reglue

This guitar project consisted of a main repair and then lots of performance tweaks and improvements.

The main issue was the lower bout area of the top had become separated from the body along the binding.

Next the frets needed to be cleaned and polished, then the truss rod needed to be adjusted and lastly, the saddle needed to be lowered by filing down

Restrung with Martin Marquis silk and steel strings
